Finding Addiction Treatment

Seeking treatment can be overwhelming. There are many important questions to answer when starting the admissions process. These questions range from payment options to evidence-based treatment types, to facility location.

At Crystal Lake Healing, we will answer your questions and help you begin your journey to a sober, happy, and healthy life. We pride ourselves on a simple and efficient admissions process and our team of compassionate, skillful admissions representatives welcome the opportunity to speak to you.

During your call to us, there are several things you can expect. The first is a compassionate and skilled admissions representative available 24/7 who can guide you through our admissions process. We know that making the call for treatment can be frightening and overwhelming. This is why we let you know what you can expect when you call us.

Step 1: The Initial Call and Pre-Screening

When you call us, one of our professional representatives will have a conversation with you. You have the opportunity to share what has been happening in your life with someone who cares and wants to listen. They will ask you some questions about your substance use, mental health, and medical history. You can expect to be asked questions such as:

  • SUBSTANCE USE

What is your substance of choice and your history with substance abuse? How long have you been using drugs or drinking, what age you were when you and how much you are using.

  • LIVING SITUATION

Do you have a stable living environment? If not, what is your living situation?

  • MEDICAL HISTORY

Do you have any medical conditions such as a heart condition, diabetes, or others we should be aware of?

  • MENTAL HEALTH HISTORY

Have you been diagnosed with any mental health conditions such as bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, PTSD, or anxiety? Are you currently receiving treatment for these conditions?

  • EATING DISORDER HISTORY

Have you been diagnosed with an eating disorder? Are you in remission?

  • ANY ADDITIONAL MEDICAL INFORMATION

You may feel hesitant to share this information, perhaps concerned that it will be shared with your family or employer. Be assured that your call and answers are 100% confidential, and any information gathered is protected by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). This means that your protected medical information, from your assessment to treatment. Our clinical team reviews the information to determine the appropriate level of care for you to begin treatment.

Step 2: Payment and Insurance

We believe recovery should be available to anyone in need of help. Crystal Lake Healing works with most major insurance carriers to ensure we can provide you with comprehensive treatment for drug or alcohol use and co-occurring disorders.

While on your initial call to us, our admissions representative will ask for your insurance information. This allows us to verify your benefits and determine your coverage for treatment.

We are also able to review any payments or co-payments you may be responsible for covering. Additionally, we provide payment options if you are uninsured, under-insured, or do not want to use your insurance benefits for personal reasons.

One of our staff will greet you when you arrive, and they will begin a detailed intake process. We will confirm some of the information from your phone intake, including medical history, substance abuse history, and you will have a mental health exam as the basis for developing your individualized treatment plan.

Covid-19 Testing and Protocols

We know that every state in America is going through an unprecedented public health emergency due to Covid-19. We also know that overdose rates and substance use are increasing. Our entire team takes both seriously and is committed to each client’s health. Our protocols are in place because Covid-19 should not deter anyone from the treatment they need.

All new clients are tested for the coronavirus upon admission. Testing and processing are done onsite, so you will have results within 15 minutes of being tested. Because we treat clients from across the country, we know our responsibility to safeguard each person’s health at our facility through a robust testing strategy. The safety of patients and staff is a top priority for the leadership team.

Crystal Lake Healing’s policies are adopted from best practices as defined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Florida Department of Health, and local health agencies. We regularly review them to ensure we remain a leader in Covid-19 prevention in treatment centers.
