What To Expect On The First Day Of Rehab

When you arrive, you will be welcomed by a behavioral health technician (BHT) who will help with your belongings. You will be taken to a private room to sign a consent for treatment. This important document allows us to provide substance use and alcohol use treatment.

Our staff will also provide you a release of information (ROI) form for your signature. If you’d like us to share any information regarding your treatment with a family member, therapist, or friends, an ROI for each person is necessary. Your treatment is confidential and protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), so we can only share information with your approval. You also have the right not to sign any releases.

The orientation and intake process begins next with a tour of our brand-new facility. While you are touring, you will meet several people who are essential to your treatment:

• Your clinical team – including therapist and case manager.
• Medical staff who will manage any medical needs.

You will be asked a lot of questions during your intake by our clinical and medical staff. It’s essential that we gather information so your treatment team can start building your recovery plan. If at any time you feel the need to take a break, let our staff know. We understand how overwhelmed you may feel.

To develop your treatment plan, questions may focus on:

• Drug/Alcohol use history
• Family
• Work/School
• Mental health history
• Physical health history

During your orientation, you’ll receive a facility handbook, and a staff member will review important information with you. This includes your rights while in treatment, grievance procedures, infection control, and group schedule.

At Crystal Lake Healing, we believe in the power of community and peer support. You will have a peer mentor throughout your stay, and they will show you where groups are, answer any questions and introduce you to your community. As you progress through your treatment, you will also have the opportunity to be a peer support.

Crystal Lake Healing’s residences are a short drive from our clinical facility. We handle all of your transportation while you are in treatment. The residences are located in a quiet, lakeside setting in Deerfield Beach. Our property is maintained to provide a calm respite for you. All of our luxury rooms have memory foam mattresses and 55″ televisions.

Once you’ve arrived, one of our BHT’s show you to your assigned room, review the housing rules with you, and give you a tour of our property. You’ll be able to unpack your belongings and will have some free time to get to know the community. We are excited to be your partner on this journey!
